It’s first Saturday of 2021, the weather is cool with temperature around 22degree. It’s has been raining non-stop since yesterday. I hope to have a run later in the evening.
Singapore’s high standards of integrity are hard-earned and crucial. Anyone who gives or takes bribes will be caught and punished, no matter how senior he is. Far better for the government to suffer embarrassment and keep the system clean, than to pretend that nothing has gone wrong, and let the rot spread.
To keep our system corruption free, political leaders must lead by example, the public service must strengthen its culture of probity, and Singaporeans must continue to reject corruption.
We are all indebted to the CPIB and its officers, past and present, for helping to keep Singapore clean and incorrupt all these years. Well done and thank you! – LHL
Congratulations to the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) on its 60th anniversary
